Are transfers included if I arrive or depart from different locations or at
different times from the itinerary?
No. Transfers are only provided to and from designated locations.
Transportation is included from Bradley International Airport (BDL),
Hartford Union Station, and New Haven Union Station to the DoubleTree
Bristol. On departure day, transfers will be available from the DoubleTree
Bristol to these same locations.
How will our group travel between destinations?
During the trip, transportation is provided by a private motor coach.
While strongly discouraged, guests who choose to arrange their own
transportation to destinations on the trip itinerary will be responsible for
arranging their own parking at each location (at their cost).
How strenuous are the activities?
Most days will include one or more hours of walking. The activities at the
Travelers Championship and ESPN Bristol Headquarters will require walking
around a golf course, or relatively flat campus; however, there are
opportunities to rest. Please be aware, temperatures can be hot in the
summer months and there are some areas that do not offer a lot of shade.
Please be sure to pack appropriate clothing, footwear and sun protection and
hydrate.
Is this itinerary appropriate for travelers with physical disabilities?
Please note that this trip includes activities that present certain
challenges to Guests with physical disabilities. It is strongly recommended
that persons requiring assistance be accompanied by a companion who is
capable of and will be solely responsible for providing assistance. Neither
ESPN Experiences nor its suppliers may physically lift or assist Guests
onto, off of or around transportation vehicles, dining establishments, hotel
rooms, ESPN Headquarters or other aspects of the trip. Contact an ESPN
Experiences representative at espn.experiences@espn.com to discuss your needs.
What types of meals are served on this ESPN Experience?
Breakfast and dinner are served buffet style each morning and night at the
hotel. Lunch will be provided daily in the Suite on 18 at the Travelers
Championship, featuring a full bar and buffet with chef-attended stations.
Given the nature of group travel, we regret that á la carte menu choices are
not available. If you have any questions or concerns about dining at any
time on your trip, an ESPN Experiences representative will be happy to
assist you.
Can you accommodate special dietary needs?
Please keep in mind specific meal requests may not be available. For food
and beverage offerings arranged by ESPN, we use reasonable efforts to
communicate special dietary requests to the dining locations. You are
responsible for deciding whether any particular dining offering meets your
requirements. We cannot guarantee that any offering is completely free of
allergens or meets your specific dietary requirements or preferences.
Is alcohol included with meals?
Alcoholic beverages are included with select meals and typically include a
selection of beer, wine and liquor. You may purchase additional varieties of
alcohol at your own expense. Guests must be 21 years of age or older to
consume alcohol.
Will I be allowed to take photos in ESPN Headquarters?
Yes, photos will be allowed in most locations at the ESPN Headquarters.
However, as this is a 24/7 working environment, we kindly ask that you
respect the privacy of ESPN employees and avoid disrupting workspaces. An
ESPN Experience representative will alert you of any restrictions prior to
arrival and while on site.
What happens if I fail my background check?
Guests must pass a background check conducted by ESPN Global Security in
order to participate in this trip. You will receive additional details upon
booking. In the event that you do not pass the background check, an ESPN
representative will contact you directly. You will not be able to attend the
trip, but you will receive a full refund of (just) your trip purchase.
Do I need to purchase travel insurance?
Travel insurance is strongly recommended and is available through multiple
independent travel insurance providers. Travel insurance typically provides
coverage for trip cancelation and interruption, baggage protection and
delay, travel accidents and delay, and emergency medical and dental services
and certain associated transportation. If you do not purchase travel
insurance, you are responsible for any medical expenses, any medical
evacuation costs, and any other costs arising during your travel. Neither
ESPN nor its parents, affiliates or subsidiaries provide travel insurance in
connection with this trip.
What if I need to cancel my reservation?
Cancelations must be made in writing to espn.experiences@espn.com. The time of cancelation will be the date upon which ESPN Experiences
Travel Services receives notice from you. Please refer to our Terms and
Conditions for the full details of our cancellation policy. Cancelation
policy for group travel may vary. Please contact espn.experiences@espn.com
for complete details. While not required, we strongly recommend that all our
Guests purchase travel protection.
